Hi, I’m Dr. Julieann.
I’m a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy with 8 years of clinical experience and over 25 years of personal dance training. I specialize in dance medicine, pelvic health, and pediatric rehab, with a passion for helping dancers and active women feel strong, confident, and in control of their health— especially when facing pain, injury, or trauma
Education & Training
I earned my doctorate from Columbia University, where I had the opportunity to train alongside some of the city’s top dance physical therapists. I’ve completed advanced coursework in Dance Medicine and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, and my manual therapy skills were shaped early in my career under the mentorship of a Certified Functional Manual Therapist.
With over two decades of experience as a dancer in both competitive and pre-professional settings, I deeply understand the physical demands, mental pressure, and culture dancers navigate. My own background includes extensive training in ballet, modern, and Latin dance, which continues to inform how I approach care and connect with my clients.

My treatment style blends strength training, manual therapy, dance technique optimization, and patient education—with added focus on breath work, mindfulness, and sustainable lifestyle habits. Rehab with me is collaborative, empowering, and tailored to your life as a dancer or mover.
In 2020, I founded my own dance medicine practice to offer expert rehab, strength coaching, and injury prevention education built specifically for dancers. I regularly host educational workshops, webinars, and training intensives designed to support dancers in building strength, improving performance, and preventing injury.
